During the second quarter of 2024, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Finland exhibited diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of WhatsApp Messenger, Telegram, Messenger, Suomi.fi, and Snapchat.

WhatsApp Messenger experienced a slight decline in weekly downloads, starting from 4.1K in early April and decreasing to 3.1K by the end of June. However, active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 2.75M and 2.82M throughout the quarter.

Telegram saw a consistent weekly revenue stream, peaking at $1.2K in late April and June. Downloads showed an upward trend towards the end of the quarter, reaching 4.3K in early June. Active users, however, saw a slight decline from 217.8K in April to 213.4K by the end of June.

Messenger maintained a stable download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 2.3K to 3.2K. Active users also showed consistent engagement, hovering around 370K throughout the quarter.
